This LP contains Zoon's 2 latest EPs from 2022. The EPs have only been available digitally - until now. This will be the first and one time pressing of the 2 EPs on split blue and gold vinyl. Side A is Big Pharma, features multiple guest artists including Cadence Weapon, Sunsetter, Jasmine Trails, Leanne Betasamosake Simpson, and Michael Peter Olsen. Side B is A Sterling Murmuration, a four song EP released in Sept 2022. These sets of songs where written over 10 years ago by Daniel Monkman and recorded with his friends from Winnipeg. These songs were divided into 2 movements. The first set of songs is Big Pharma. The EP is about trying to bring awareness about the pharmaceutical industry and their lies. It talks about how they destroyed Monkman's community of Selkirk Manitoba and many more small towns and cities. A whole generation completely changed in just a matter of five years, Families torn apart and loved ones lost to addiction and overdoses. A Sterling Murmuration is the second movement. The title “A Sterling Murmuration” refers to the movement that a flock of birds do for safety from predators. This technique for other reasons such as warmth at night, and also to exchange information about feeding areas. The theme of these songs is tied to humans needing a strong communiity to protect each other. Also, Isolation played a role in this body of work and displays the danger of isolation. While in this state we set ourselves up to be in harm's way by outside forces but breaking out and embracing humility and community you can finally transcend into a healthy trajectory.
