RSD EXCLUSIVE 40TH ANNIVERSARY BOX SET OF 'ALLIED FORCES' IS SET FOR RELEASE ON JUNE 12, VIA ROUND HILL RECORDS
One of the greatest and most successful Canadian rock bands of all-time, Triumph, first rose to prominence back in the golden era when vinyl was king – and the preferred format of most music fans.
So, it makes perfect sense for Triumph – Rik Emmett(guitars/vocals), Mike Levine (bass, keyboards) and Gil Moore (drums, vocals) – to be named Record Store Day’s Canadian Ambassadors 2021
Previous Canadian RSD Ambassadors have included Marie-Mai, the Trews, and the Sheepdogs, and RSD Ambassadors have included Metallica, Pearl Jam, and Brandi Carlile, among others.
To prove this point, the band will also be releasing a Record Store Day exclusive/40th anniversary box set of their classic 1981 album, 'Allied Forces,' fully loaded with rare archival content and assorted unearthed gems.
A rock music collector’s dream, the Round Hill Records-issued set will include:

The album was also the highest-charting of the band’s career and earning platinum certification in the States.
“We’re extremely proud of ‘Allied Forces.’ It was the record that started the global rocket ride for us and we’re also excited to share with our fans some really great moments from our archives with this boxset.” - Mike Levine

Marie-Mai has been named the Canadian ambassador of the next edition of Record Store Day, the worldwide celebration of record stores, which happens annually in April. After picking Nova Scotia rock band The Trews as ambassadors in 2019, the organizers of Record Store Day have now asked Marie-Mai to become the first female artist and first Quebec artist to assume this role. This major event that brings together independent record stores, artists, music lovers and vinyl collectors every year will hold its 13th edition on April 18, 2020.
Nova Scotia’s own The Trews have been named as Canadian Ambassadors for Record Store Day 2019. The honour has been bestowed on the rockers as part of the lead up to 2019’s Record Store Day, which takes place on April 13, 2019.
February 8, 2018 – Saskatchewan’s own The Sheepdogs have been named as the “Record Store Day’s Champions of Canada.” The honour has been bestowed on the bearded rockers as part of the lead up to 2018’s Record Store Day, the eleventh year of the event which connects independent record stores to artists and vinyl enthusiasts. To celebrate the announcement the band sat down with their record collections to reminisce about some of the most meaningful vinyl from their personal collections – fans can watch that video here below Record Store Day 2018 takes place on April 21, 2018. The Sheepdogs are the first band to ever be named “Champions of Canada.”
